Share–A–Gift is an all-volunteer, secular annual holiday project that provides toys, books, and bicycles for children of low-income families in the area of Colorado’s Boulder Valley School District.
Share–A–Gift collects gifts at sites around the city of Boulder and in areas of eastern Boulder County starting Thanksgiving week. We are not able to collect toys, books or bicycles before that time due to storage limitations.
While toy donations comprise our primary need, we also collect monetary donations.
Monetary donations are used to purchase additional toys (as needed), supplies (such as heat seal wrap, tape, signage paper, rope, etc.), and to offset any operating costs of our toy distribution. Our organization does not pay volunteers or staff and does not pay rent on a physical location for the Toy Shop.

Thank-You Letters for your monetary donations, and for tax-related purposes, are sent in the month of January after the “rush” of our December toy distribution. If you need a tax-letter sooner than January for the prior year, please email our Treasurer. Monetary donations collected after the date of the Toy Shop will be applied to the next year’s budget, but Thank-You tax letters will be dated for the calendar tax year in which the monetary donation is received.
